Who can use it?

It may surprise that anyone, even challenged users, can write (and speak!) by means of the Yak-Yak computer program. Is it not too difficult?

No, Yak-Yak is not difficult.

It is designed to be easy to work with, especially for users who can't read or write, or even speak.

Irene Nielsen, Bornholm County Communications Center in Rønne, Denmark, says: "I am enthusiastic about Yak-Yak. I have tried it with many different language problems, and so far I have found no one who could not benefit from using it."

This continues to be true. Even users with severe disabilities, such as aphasia, can obtain good results, provided assistance is available.

Studies have confirmed this.

The user needs to have some basic language understanding, and should be able to use letters to some extent. But no grammatical rules are required, nor any other formal knowledge.

To get the full benefit of software someone of course has to look at the instructions, at least sometimes. But one does not have to study the entire manual beforehand. And no such thing is ever required of the daily users.

The online help can be called upon whenever needed, and it can speak its information for the user.

Yak-Yak comes with a range of tools. One can design the user's personal workspace, and do many other useful things. But all of this takes place in closed-off areas where users don't go.
